Course Overview: Certificate IV in Disability is a course that prioritizes, and provides learning methods for individuals who want to work in the community services industry to deliver support and care to physically challenged individuals.

Certificate IV in Disability
  • Duration: 40 Weeks
  • Funding: This quali­fication is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding to eligible candidates.
  • Course fee: Tuition fees- $7,500.00 ($0 for eligible Skills First Funding applicants)
  • Prerequisite: There is no formal prerequisite for this course.
  • Entry Requirements: You will be required to undertake a pre-training review process to determine if you are suitable for this course.
  • Industry Requirement– Candidates for working in the industry (and during work-placement) are required to provide evidence of the following:
    • Working with Children’s Check
    • National Police Check
    • Current First Aid Certificate

      Course Details: Each candidate must demonstrate their competency in the following-

      • 13 units of competency
      • 11 core units
      • 3 elective units.

    CHCDIS010 Provide person-centered services to people with disability with complex needs

    CHCLEG003 Manage legal and ethical compliance

    HLTAAP001 Recognize healthy body systems

    HLTWHS002 Follow safe work practices for direct client care
